It’s time to begin using your 2017 planner.

Don’t you just love new things?  I do.   I sometimes get bogged down in silliness and don’t want to use up something new as then I won’t have it anymore.   I am beginning to realize that if I don’t use new stuff,  I am losing out on some “joy” moments in my life.  So,   I am cracking open my new pages for 2017 planning and recording our family activities.  Good, bad, ugly.  Hopefully there will be more ups than downs!

As I was writing this post,  I realized my plate is pretty full today and I was thinking I won’t have any time to start this,  I’ll do it tomorrow.    I put the brakes on those thoughts and began going over my plans.   I will have a full 30 minutes while I wait for my daughter to be done with an appointment she has.   Guess what?!?  That means if I take about 2 minutes now and pull out some fun colored pencils, which I got for Christmas, bag up some washi tape and a few other small supplies,  I can begin to mark up my planner and start recording our events for 2017.  Yay.  If I am remembering correctly,  I will even pull out a dedicated planner bag and put all my supplies in there and can have it all together for future out of the house down times.  (Which happen from time to time with kids!)

In the meantime as I open all the bills and mail from holiday back up,  I think I will watch this video and see if It gives me more inspiration on my new 2017 journal endeavor.  If you don’t have a 2017 planner yet,  you can find what  I’ll be using here.

Time to starting thinking about 2017.

Yes,  our CTMH planners are available now.    Supper cute and a great way to keep yourself on schedule,  but for me it is also a great way to look back on everything that has happened in the year.

I’m re-using my binder from last year,  so I will make a new cover for last year’s pages.  It’s a great way to preserve our family memories.  (good and bad!)

All New Rolling Tote

It’s here, it’s here!  The new Close to My Heart Rolling Tote has arrived

CTMH Rolling Tote Craftingwithamanda.ctmh.com

If you hurry it could be under your tree for Christmas!  CTMH has put a lot of thought into how this will incorporate with our organizing totes as well as how to keep our papers flat and out of harms way.

Here it is shown with one large, one medium and three small organizing totes.  How great is that?

I can see me with one large organizer of stamps, another large organizer with embellishments, my medium with my re-inkers and pearl paint for spritzing the exact right color and my small organizers so I don’t have to be without my pigment inks.  Yay!

rolling tote front The front pocket is HUGE.  Look at all the room for paper, card stock, Annual inspirations or Wishes book.

If you haven’t already seen the video, it’s on youtube.  Just search for CTMH Rolling Tote.   The new Shoulder tote is shown at the end of the video too.  I might actually be able to look like I have my act together and be color coordinated!

Did you see that both side pockets are large as well.  It has shows it with the score board (which by the way is amazing) and another idea book.  I think I could take both my Make it from the Heart books, my cutter, score board and still have room for more.

Artbooking: Cross Cartridge Collaboration Video

Well,  I finished a great 25 page album for our local library silent auction.  I used the retired Spellbound papers, as our school’s colors are Orange & Black.  It’s has taken a great deal of my time, and I want to do it justice when I talk about the different details on this blog.  So, while I am editing the photos and getting them ready for you to see, I thought I would give you another installation of the Close To My Heart’s Artbooking series.   I used this cartridge quiet a bit in the library auction item, so it ties all together!
