Craft with Heart Cards Modified with No Limits

The Craft with Heart (CWH) card kit is great. If you assemble them following the directions that come in the kit, you will have 24 cards that cost less than $1.85 per card (yearly subscription). How great is that?

If you fall in love with the patterns on the card bases, you can do what I did and cut them apart and make many more cards adding your own supplies. For one set of the cards (the kit makes two of 12 different cards), I limited the supplies when making the first half to items I think most crafters will have on hand. See the first set of slightly modified cards here.

For the second set of 12 cards, I decided I was not going to limit myself and just create. Sometimes the mojo works with me, other times it doesn’t. This time, I truly enjoyed the process of creating these cards.

I got all these from the first card base! I added some cricut cuts, (pink flower, leaf & greenery) Silver and outdoor denim Cardstock. I did pull out my scrap envelops and pulled some of the matting colors from that.

Cards 2-5 didn’t call to me like some of the others, so I just added some more embellishments (cricut cuts, hearts, sprays of leaves. . . ) and silver cardstock for a wow factor.

The card on the left is very close to the original card #6 in the kit instructions, but by cutting back of the base off, I was able to create two more cards.

I absolutely loved the leaves on card base 7 and I had to cut the back off of the card base and stretch it to make multiple cards. (I also went back and cut it off the back from the original slightly modified set too!) As you can see I really had some fun playing with Cricut cuts, die cuts, embossing folders, silver cardstock matting, punches and more. The blue plaid paper was a scrap from another base (10?).

Here are the last few No-Limits CWH cards. (Cards 8-12) I truly enjoyed playing with my tools, using up scraps, and just going for it.

Hope you find some time to add some crafting joy to your day!

Craft with Heart (CWH) Cards – unboxing & Cricut additions

After unboxing the Craft with Heart Cards, I had an idea of how to Amanda-ize them using Cricut design space and the CTMH Flower Market Image set.

Use the link above to quickly cut out the extra images I created for the CWH cards. In my set I used four 1/2 sheets of cardstock. One each of Blue Belle, Peach, Fern & White Daisy.

There will be a series of videos showing how I assembled the cards and used the extra images. Hope you enjoy!

Play Time Cards

With all the noise and activity in the house from the workers, I’ve been struggling to focus and be creative. I’ve dabbled with this and forced myself to glue flowers to the front of cards, but wasn’t feeling it until yesterday.

Distress Oxides, Stencil & A Million Little Things (D1925)

I had tried learning more about the distress oxides ink and made some little samples on different papers with different products. Today when sleep eluded me, I decided I was going to do SOMETHING with them. a quick glance on pinterest and I had some inspiration.

This is the card that inspired mine.

My craft desk has been strewn with pieces parts of of various projects, current and from years ago. I had decided I wanted to use some things up in the employ of cards for happy mail.

At first I was distracted by interruptions, the thoughts in my head and the colors of the flowers on my desk. I gave myself permission to discard any piece that was blocking me from creating. It’s funny. I removed dark flowers and leaves that had been punched from orange cardstock. Once those were no longer in my way, I was able to create. . . .

Most of these pieces were leftovers from our August Club Night cards. I added some silver and white pieces and the blockade gave way and I was able to create!

If you have the Art Philosophy Image Set, you should be able to cut out your own card pieces. Here is the link.

Also there is a video for some of the techniques used in creating it here.

There are still more pieces on my craft table. I’m going to see what I can do with them! Happy Crafting!

Day at the Beach Scrapbook layout

After a year and a half of not scrapbooking any of our photos, I finally finished 4 pages in one day! I felt like I was a novice at first and it took me a long time to get back into the swing of it, but I’m happy with the results.

Not having access to all my supplies and tools has made me dig a little deeper into my bag of techniques. On this layout, I started with one of our how to pattern books a group of photos, and a pack of paper that worked with the colors in the photos. From there I added some homemade stencils, used some flip flaps, and just had some fun.

There is a video of me walking through the creation of these pages if you want to see more of what I did.
