Florence Insider guide

Yes,  I really am trying to get caught up and get all these great insider guides published so you can start using them and falling in love with them like I have!   Next up is Florence.   1605-ci-workshop-florence-cards

Florence_IG_quickpicAs you will see on my cards I once again picked my own paper from the Florence packet and did my own thing!   I also learned a lot about water coloring on these cards.   The first card I added color on the brush onto dry paper.  The second card I used the same about of color on the brush,  but I had brushed clear water over the card front first.   I can see applications for both,  but for these cards I like the second one best.  The stamp set is Balloon Wishes

Calypso Papers – Older Insider Guide – Georgie

I knew these insider guides were a gold mine when CTMH first introduced them,  but was swamped with life and didn’t make the time to use them.  Now that we have been using them with club night,  it’s been amazing!  Hope you like them as much as I do.  I find they are better than OSW (one sheet wonder) cutting guides as they give you the cuts for ALL the papers.   You can often combine insider guides and get LOTS of cards out of one paper pack.  And with CTMH double sided designed paper,  the combinations are numerous.

The next guide I used with the calypso paper is the Georgie guide.  1509-ci-workshop-georgie-us_ca

I used one of the Picture My Life cards in place of the sentiment on both cards.  (These cards are part of the paper and can be cut into 3 x 4 and 4×6 pieces.  Love them!

I also got to use some old rick rack ribbon that was here.  I think it pairs nicely with the whimsical flamingos!

More Calypso Cards & Another Insider Guide

Yes,  I am loving these insider guides.   This time it’s a throw back to one of my favorite paper packs, Seaside.   So,  without further ado. . .  Here is the Seaside Insider Guide seaside-cards. seaside_IG_quickpic

Once again I am using the Spring Time Wishes thin cuts and watercolor paints.   I was on a roll!   I said this in a recent post,  but the more I use the paints,  the more comfortable I am becoming with them.    I highly recommend just getting them out and playing with how to put color on the paper.

As you can see,  I modified the cards to work with my paper.  I also didn’t want to take the time to find a shaped sentiment from the cricut.  I would have been easy enough,  but I was on borrowed time and my pillow was calling!

White Pines Insider Guide

Close to My Heart has created some great tools for consultants to use at gatherings or workshops.   One of those tools is Insider Guides.  These are templates for either a scrapbook layout or cards.  I have another one to share with you today.  It’s from the fall of 2015 and was originally used with White Pines paper.  Here is the White Pines Guide 1509-ci-workshop-white-pines-us_ca

I’ve been remiss in using some of the newest papers,  so I thought I would change that and broke out the fun Calypso Paper (gone the end of July 2016!)

Card Number one is a little deceiving.  The yellow and white striped paper is a full 4.25 x 5.5.   (Just like card 1 in the insider guide) I used the springtime wish thin cuts for all the great flowers.  I finally got out the watercolor paints and played with those too.  I feel like I am getting better every time I use them!

Card Number two uses the artfully sent cartridge (auto) and the spring wishes thincuts (the little flowers).  The stamp is from the June Stamp of the Month.
