Card Set Pattern Video Week #4

I wasn’t feeling the   La Vie En Rose Card Workshop  until I paired it with the L8r Skater paper pack.  Now I can see these cards for everything from boy birthday cards, father’s day cards to even a sympathy card.  It’s not the best for using up scraps,  but I have several partial paper packs with full sheets just waiting to be made into happy mail.

Here’s the video link if you want some help cutting a set of papers to create these cards,  or  want to have some “company” while you create!

After you make these cards,  I would love to see them!

New Thin Cut Dies & Matching Stamps

It is so easy to stamp an image and then line it up perfectly with our thin cut dies.   If you haven’t tried them,  now would be a great time to start.  So many cute and versatile images will be available August 1st!

So excited about a FULL alphabet thin cut.   There isn’t a “matching” stamp,  but it’s easy to cut out the letters you want,  then stamp them with other images to bring them to life and personalize your project!

And now my favorites in Thin Cuts.  Ones with the matching stamp sets!

Aren’t these fun?    I look forward to seeing what everyone does with these thin cuts.

Double sided Cardstock- Weeee!

Yes,  Close to My Heart has changed their amazing white core cardstock to make it even better.  Still has the same white core,  but now one side is the true CTMH color and the other side is a shade or two lighter!   This is a game changer for me.  I’ll be able to use one sheet of cardstock to create multi-toned flowers (or other images).

The Complements that coordinate with the color pallets are fresh and current.  Take a Look!

More Scrap Cards –

Every spring for the last 4 years,  I’ve had an opportunity to travel with friends for 5 days of crafting & fun.   When packing I decided I could easily pack enough projects to keep me busy for weeks.   I also knew I love cutting into new paper,  so I brought all the scraps from projects made on the Facebook Videos to help me use up those pieces.  Not all of the cards were scraps,  I think a couple of them were cuts from previous patterns that I lost so I got to make it up as I go.

I love the lilac on these cards.  I cut them from the Flower Garden Cartridge!  They are so easy.  One button cut makes all 4 layers and you do a little dry embossing, pop dot the layers and wah lah!

Hope these give you some inspiration.

Scrap Cards – Not as scary as they sound.

I was talking with another crafter a few weeks ago,  and she mentioned that she has a hard time creating with out a pattern to follow.  She even shared that she can not visualize how a project might look using other papers not used in the sample.  This is foreign to me,  but I have since learned it’s real for many crafters.  (Who knew?)   This lead me to the conclusion that using up “scraps” would be nearly impossible with out having a jumping off point.    I will admit there are times that my muse is not flowing and creating scrap card after scrap card will deplete the little creativity I had.  But I know that I will not be sending 5 cards to the same person,  so I have no trouble doing the same (ish) pattern over and over again with the scraps I have laying around my craft table.

So,  without further ado,  here are some cards I created from scraps.  I share them with you now in the hopes you too can find inspiration to create and clean up your scraps at the same time.  🙂

Hope these cards give you some inspiration!
